Home UPDATE 7 NOVEMBER
I did some more updates at Nowra before leaving and heading south again. I left the main highway to go and see Jervis Bay village. I had spent a couple of days on a yacht in Jervis bay many years ago.
The village is actually set in a National park that requires you to pay before entering. A chat with the toll collector ascertained that if you were only going to the village and back you didn't have to pay. I also called in at Huskisson another pretty seaside town. I made it to Batemans Bay in time to listen to the Melbourne Cup on the car radio. (You can't hear anything when you're travelling!) Boy! That Makybe Diva is some horse.
The picture shows a large bridge at Batemans Bay with a lifting section in the centre.
On the way to Canberra the next day I stopped at Braidwood and Bungendore, a couple of neat, old, historic towns. The countryside around here is green, lush, undulating cattle grazing land and is a complete contrast to the opposite side of the continent in WA.
I made it to canberra OK and actually found the place where I was staying after about a five minutes search. I dropped the trailer off and went for a drive to the Tidbinbilla Deep Space Tracking Station then back to where I was staying.
Next day was a site seeing day with visits to the National War Memorial, the Australian National Museum and lunch in the City.

On the Friday I went and saw a home built clubbie with a supercharged 16 valve Toyota motor. The installation looks good and the performance should be fantastic. I then went for a drive in the countryside north of Canberra. Its really looking nice at the moment.
On the way back to Batemans Bay the next day I ran into some thick fog with visibility less than 50 metres and discovered that the headlights had given up the ghost. I checked them later and discovered signs of melting behind one globe so I suspect some water got in somewhere it wasn't supposed to and shorted the system out. I managed to get some new globes and fuses and so far it seems to be OK.
Moving on south there were some nice seaside towns including Broulee, Tuross Head and Bermagui where I stayed for the night.

I deviated to a historic little town called Central Tilba for lunch. This was full of quaint restored buildings now being used for lots of different purposes
I continued on south via Bega to Eden and stayed in what has probably been the best Caravan Park so far.
